				GOST certificate necessary for my product ? – Yes, no excmeptions, but options ◆ Exemption Letter・・・Some products are exempt from GOST certification and a letter of exemption is issued by VNIIS for customs clearance purpose. Please ask us if certification is mandatory or not for your product(s). ◆ Voluntary GOST Certificate・・・The Letter of Exemption above is used only for customs clearance and may not be accepted for demonstrating approval of your products in the commercial market. For marketing reasons some clients do obtain Voluntary GOST Certificate. ◆ Shipment GOST Certificate ・・・We would call this a disposable certificate. A large factory machinery when dissembled will consist of many components that are not easily identifiable on their own. If individual certification is attempted, the total certification cost will be significant. We would provide a disposable certificate to cover all the component parts of your equipment. ◆ 1 Year / 3 Year Serial Production GOST Certificate・・・ These are Type Approvals valid for a year or three respectively. During the period after the certificate is issued the product can be shipped anytime, to anyone at anywhere in any quantity. If your product is intended for continual mass marketing in Russia, the 3year certificate will be best suited to your requirements.
